Growing is in my blood. It’s my passion. It’s my life.
I grew up surrounded by cannabis plants, learning the art of cultivation by watching my father run one of the first grow shops in Groningen, along with several grow rooms across Holland. Back then, growing was different; most people relied on mineral regimens and synthetic inputs.
But not my dad. He was nuts about natural growing.
He used seaweed extracts, humics, fulvics, and amino acids, long before "organic" became something people talked about. He would hand me a freshly cured bud and say, “Taste that bud, can you taste it?”
That one line carried his whole philosophy: growing should be about flavor, aroma, and purity, not just yield.
A Shift That Changed Everything
After finishing pharmacy school, I saw another world turning synthetic: medicine. Witnessing that shift from natural to chemical only strengthened my belief in staying true to organic principles.
Working with my dad in his grow shops, and later for one of the industry’s biggest players, I saw firsthand how things were changing.
More bottles. More additives. More salts.
Less focus on helping growers.
That’s when the idea for Crazy Hills was born, to make things simpler again. To bring real organics back into growing and get that taste back.

That vision led to ELAN, our original formula.
We combined handpicked natural ingredients into one solution that could replace a shelf full of additives. ELAN became that all-in-one enhancer, boosting terpene profiles, flavor, and overall quality without any synthetic shortcuts.
After I shared a few bottles with close grower friends, they were blown away. Their response was simple:

And that’s how the full Crazy Hills line was born, crafted with the same care, intention, and a little craziness for the plant that my dad passed down to me.

In 2023, I lost my father, the man who started it all.
I like to think he has his own garden up there now, still chasing terps and growing some of the finest weed in heaven. His spirit, his mantra, and his love for natural growing live on through Crazy Hills.
He always said, “Freedom to Grow.”
The freedom to grow the plant we are all crazy about, anywhere in the world.
Not just for the selected few or big companies, but for everyone.
Today, I’m passing that same passion to my kids. My son is already a little botanist, and my daughter, with that same spark my dad had, is sure to have a green thumb too.
This is just the beginning of a legacy, because only the crazy ones dare to change the way we grow.
